I think I've seen a post about this before, but oh well. I have a set schedule for the kids but none for myself. I was wondering when everybody does their cleaning. I do unload and reload (most days) the dishwasher in the morning, and start the laundry. If I have to tackle a big job, I might not get around to it if I'm working or ds is not happy playing by himself. Any suggestions?

I always do my cleaning on Saturday morning. That way I will start off my weekend in a clean house.

We clean the house on a wednesday and a saturday. The rest of the time we just keep the place tidy.
Every night I pop three loads of washing in the washing machine, and we hang it up the next morning before we go out.

Al lthe time I actually find it easier to have a "routine" ie; Monday X chores ,Tues X Chores, etc. This way it's all done by the weekend and we can all relax.

Jennifer- I see you ticker for Topsail...Topsail Island NC? We go there all the time It is one of my favorite places..my parents live 15 mins away in Hampstead!

I do a little cleaning everyday. Dishwasher is ran first thing in the morning when it's needed. Laundry is done in the morning or at night. I try to get all my cleaning done in the forenoon so that way I can focus on supper and the kids when they come home from school.
In the summer time my cleaning will get done a little differently since the kids are home, but dishwasher and laundry will stay the same.
I also try to make sure all my cleaning is done by Friday that way I have the weekend to spend with my DH and kids.

I do tidying every day. Also I have a schedule for deep cleaning each room- Sunday is our master bedroom, Monday is living room, Tuesday is downstairs bathroom, Wednesday is upstairs bathroom, Thursday is DD's room, Friday is guest room and desk area, and Saturday is kitchen. Laundry is done as needed, as is running the dishwasher. I find that since I have been keeping this schedule that these rooms only take 30 minutes at most to deep clean and the house stays tidy most of the time. This equals DH being happier and less stressed and I am less stressed. Since I have been doing this to I have found I actually spend less time cleaning but my house has never been cleaner! I would definitely recommend some type of cleaning schedule. IMO it makes my life much simpler!
