ARe you able to keep your desk organized?? How often do you clean it? Is is a family area, or just used by you or dh? Is this also the bill paying area?? Can you keep it all straight?? LOL
My answer, my desk is a mess, the kids use it as well, everything is everywhere. I just can NOT keep it clean and organized!

My desk is just used by me...I try to keep it organized by handling papers one time and dealing them (file them, throw them out etc). Sometimes I get behind though! LOL! I do have a big bulletin board above my desk and that keeps things off my desk surface, but I can still refer to them etc

Kevin and I both use the desk, but the mess is mine. I have to go through papers twice a week because it gets cluttered pretty quickly. I lay stuff on the tower and on the printer to keep the boys from messing with it (magazines, books, coupon train stuff, etc.).

We all use the desk. Right now b/c we are getting ready for a move it is spotless. But it is usually pretty neat. I have an organizer I use and my bills all go into a file flex folder divided by month. It is the one area I always keep organized. Now when the papers have to go upstairs to the filing cabinet...I'm a little more lax, infact I think there are some papers I need to file from last month that are in DH nightstand (where I threw them to get them out of the way and forgot about them til now...whoops )

The "family desk and computer" is in the dining room, and dh and the kids use it more than I do. It is, however, where I pay bills. I have a laptop and use it at the kitchen table or downstairs in a separate room that's like an unfinished basement. I have a whole office set up down there, but it separates me from the rest of the house and family (I guess that's a good thing, sometimes!)

I can keep our computer desk semi-organized, it's shared by everyone because that is where the desktop comp. is. The sad part is that the stuff that is laying around on it is my stuff, my tiny piles are neat but a couple too many.
It is the area that I also pay the bills online, but the bills and that paperwork is kept elsewhere so that does help keep some of the clutter away.
I think I know what I will be organizing this week!!!

My desk at home is just used by me, I have my laptop on it and a basket for the bills. So it says clean and organized and I dust it when ever I dust rest of the house.
My desk at work has got contracts in a bin. and receipt books and other stuff strew everywhere, but every day before I leave everything is back in its place.
I can't stand to start work at a messy desk.

DH and I both use it equally. It's not a mail/bill area, so I think that may be part of what helps it stay clean. I can't work at a messy desk, it drives me nuts, so both the one at home and the one at work are always clean (I work from home quite a bit).

DH and I use the desk and it is also where we keep and pay bills. It stays pretty neat and organized except for 1 drawer (drives me nuts) and a stack of random papers that I just can't seem to get rid of for good. The papers in the stack change, but there is always this annoying stack of what-do-I-do-with-this papers. Maybe I am just a little OCD. Hmmmm....

DH and I both use the desk/ computer area for paying bills, browsing online, etc. I try to keep it neat and organized but DH is always placing his piles of stuff for his hobby (labels and notebooks, etc) everywhere and it is so annoying..LOL I straighten it up everyday it seems like, but overall it is mostly neat and organized.
