I'm going to a wedding next month. It is the bride's 3rd marriage -- so it's not like they're setting up house. I haven't a clue what she needs or would want. Or even what colors she would be interested in though the annoucement was done in green. I don't want to spend a lot of money. And I've never met the groom.

Any suggestions?

I received a set of pewter Christmas ornaments, when I got married. 12 years later I think of the gift giver every Christmas as I set up the tree and as I sit at night and look at my decorated tree. The gift has kept on giving, I love them. I try now to some how incorporate an ornament or something like that.

How about a nice picture frame. I have done that before and the couple just loved it!

I like the Christmas ornament idea too, even though it isn't close to Christmas. I was married in November(and I already had kids) and one of the gifts I got was unbreakable ornaments. I also recieved a manger scene.
Picture frames are what I end up getting when there isn't a registry and I don't know what to get.

Shoot, I was gonna say egg timer (the cheapest but most useful gift we recieved, so the one I like to give) but if they've already got a place, that might not be a great idea. I'd go w/a gift card. Even just a $10 one would be fine, I think. I know that's boring, but who doesn't like free $$?

Some of my favorite things we got was a movie basket they put a box of popcorn, some of those candy boxes, and $5 for blockbuster in a mixing bowl. I am sure they got all the stuff at dollar tree but we liked it alot. Someone also got us a gift card to kroger's grocery and that was nice too.

We received a pampered chef knife and I loved it. You can never have too many knives!
