So where do you store your winter items? I have them in totes but haven't completely decided where they should go. I'm also dealing with snowboarding equipment. Any suggestions?

I have them in a big tote in the basement. Along with the winter clothes too.

We have an equipment area in our basement. My hubby still needs to put up the shelving. All gear except waterski gear goes there. The clothing is in rubbermaid bins in the unfinished part of the basement. Our waterski gear goes in a utiility trailer along with 4 wheelers. We take it to the river during the waterski season. We have a serious amount of gear.

I hang up my and dh's winter coats after they are dry cleaned in one of our ds's closets. My boys don't use their closets, so they are mostly for storage.

I put all the boys coats and snowpants and boots in two big totes and they go on the floor of that same closet.

Winter clothing is stored in that closet for dh and I by hanging on the rack. Winter clothes for the three ds are in totes on the floor of oldest ds's closet.

A few years back we finished off our attic and made it useable. My DH put clothes rods up there so when all of our coats and outwear is cleaned it gets hungup with plastic bags over them to keep dust off. Other winter clothing goes in totes up there also. Snow boots stay in our front closet off to one side and in that same closet there is a shelf that the hats, gloves, mittens, scarves go into a container and sit on.
Outside in the garage we have one area that is designated for the winter gear, there isn't a whole lot so it doesn't take up much space, otherwise if there is a lot of seasonal gear we transfer it to the back shed.

I don't have much, it's just me and my fiance. Coats are hung up in the coat closet. I have a sweater bag shelf thing that I use as my linen closet because my apartment doesn't have one, and the bottom cubby is for hats, mitts and scarves.
