What do you throw your clean/dirty clothes in to/from the laundryroom?

We have a wicker hamper in our bathroom.

I throw the towels and washclothes in the machine when we use them, and wash about every 2 days.

The other clothes I keep in the hamper and just sort them and carry them to the washer!

I have a wicker basket but I don't use it for clothes. I use it for picnic stuff.

My laundry room is in the basement. It is easy to get the dirty clothes down there - we toss them down the laundry chute. However, getting the clean clothes back is a challenge, especially on days when my arthritis is acting up. I finally settled on those oval soft plastic laundry baskets as the best option. Trust me, I've tried them all!

We have three plastic - two big ones in our room, one is whites, one is colors, then one small one in DD's room for her clothes. I know that when ours are full to the otp, it's two loads, so I try to do laundry when they are half full. I carry the laundry in the baskets to the laundry room and back, and sort clothes on the bed.

True to my green roots, I have wicker! And I've had them ... probably 10 years almost and they're still going strong.

I use four oblong plastic ones. They sit on the floor of my closet and everyone knows that's where dirty clothes go. I grab at least one every morning and run a load. The laundry room is three floors down so I need something that's easy to move the clothes up and down with.

There's a hamper in every bedroom.
In the laundry room, I keep a plastic laundry basket for each family member. After a clean load is sorted and folded, I put the clothes in everyone's baskets and have them put away their own stuff in their dressers or closets. Then, they're "supposed to" return their empty baskets to the laundry room, but I often have to retrieve them myself.
