I have 3 boys (10,8,6) and a little girl (3). In effort to declutter and elimate clutter in our family/livingroom/home office, we moved the kids our 2 sons upstairs into my oldest son and daughter's room. The younger boys were always bedding to sleep upstairs with my son. And half the time they were sleeping in my room because something scared them or had a bd dream. So now we have a room strictly for play.

But for some reason I feel guilty about them sleeping all in one room. Why??? Is there anything wrong with it? We have mo more trouble getting them to sleep than before. We have always been planning to add on but are paying off other bills first.

Anyho it has helped me decluttler their room and clothes they get handed down. I have around 6 huge garabage bags to donate. It has put me in the mood for all the rooms in the house.

What do you guys think?

Well it's the same in our house ~ though mine are all girls. They are ages 11, 7, 5, and 3. We have an extra room on the main floor that we use for a playroom too.

If they are happy with it, and it works for your family, I see nothing to feel guilty about

I see nothing wrong with it, kids learn a lot of thing when they have to share things.......I feel that children now-a-days are spoiled getting their own rooms, their own bathrooms, etc.

I think that they should not need therapy later in life, just because they had to share a room with their siblings.

I've been planning on letting my 3 boys share a room. I think they'll learn a lot about sharing, etc. My sister & I shared a room until I hit middle school and thought I was too cool to room with her. My older sisters were out of the house by then so I got to move out.

Our house now only has 3 bedrooms so my older two boys share a room and the baby has his own. We plan on moving in a year or 2 and will get a 4 bedroom house but I still like the idea of the boys sharing a room. SO, at that point I think they'll all have to move in together. That way too I can have a scrapbooking/sewing/girly room!

As long as everyone is safe and gets their needed rest, who cares? I think it's more important for them to have a play space, tbh.

I don't think it is wrong. My 3 boys share a room. They LOVE it! And the
3rd bedroom is used as a playroom. It is neat b/c they have their own little "wing" of the upstairs with their bathroom, playroom and sleeping room. They share everything anyway!

I don't see anything wrong with them sharing a room, like the other gals said if they get along and seem to enjoy what is the harm.

I Guess I also Would Feel the Girl Needs Her Own Room.

That would Be My only Guilt Feeling.

I have Been there, and We had our Daughter Sleep in our Room, Until We Moved And Had More Room.

I Guess If your Kids don't Mind though , I Wouldn't Worry about it.

I would say that when she is older your dd might need her own room. Right now, it works for you all so go with it!!! (my kids have always shared rooms, right now my 14 yr old dd is the only one in the house that has her own room, since she is the only girl at home. But when she was younger she shared a room with 3 younger brothers.)

I agree on the 'girl' aspect. There actually comes an age when it isn't legal to have siblings of the opposite sex sharing a room, but I doubt it's 3.
