for your decluttered, no longer want or need items?

This is an idea for Step 16 - Get organized were you put a box in a closet to be only used for giveaway items. Whenever you have clothing, a book, kitchen gadget or anything else of no longer use, put it in the box. When the box is full, donate it and start a new one.

Does anybody have a giveaway box that they use year around?

Yes...I usually use a 'bag' though, because mine are usually linens or clothing items. I keep it in the garage and when it's full, I go drop it off at one of the places where we make donations.

I do use a cardboard box, also in the garage, but it takes a little longer to fill. I don't use the same box over and over.

I also have a box of things to give my sister or my BIL - kid items that their kids might like, clothing, stuff I don't want but they might like etc So when someone comes over, I'll say "go check your box!". LOL

i have a green garbage bag in the basement and two boxes sit on the dryer..they can put what they do not want anymore in the boxes then i sort them and once the boxes or bag is full it goes right into the car and off it goes.

Yep. I have a few families that also get our hand-me-downs. So, I have a sack labeled with each family and a donate box. When the sack is full, it gets delivered. I also keep a notebook and pen with my donate box, so that I can write things down as I put them in. That way I can get a receipt for the donation to take off on my taxes.
