How to clean the dryer vent:
1. Unplug your dryer and turn off the gas if your machine is gas powered.
2. Pull the dryer 1-2 feet from the wall and use your screwdriver to loosen the 4 inch clamp behind the dryer. Slide the vent hose off.
3. Reach as far as you can into the hole in the back of the machine and pull out any buildup there.
4. Push the dryer vent brush or vacuum wand into the vent hose as far as possible to remove dust and lint. Most of the mess collects within a foot of either end.
5. Reconnect the hose to the dryer, then disconnect the other end of the hose from the wall. Repeat the process.
6. Remove the louvered vent from the outside of the house, insert your vacuum wand or dryer vent brush into the duct to clear any remaining dust and lint.
**There you're all done!**
