LOL, another question on the outside of your home!

Do you have shutters on your house?

How about:

Do you have window awnings or flower boxes?

Nope...none of that. A lot of houses in our neighborhood do have shutters and they would work on our house. I'm sorta on the fence about them.

I had window boxes on every window at our old house (a LOT! LOL) and they looked beautiful, but they were a TON of work and $$. Keeping the plants looking nice, keeping them watered, maintaining the boxes, getting new boxes made when the old ones were getting too old etc We got tons of compliments on them and I loved how they looked on the house (I'd put in small pine trees with white lights each winter).

We have decorative shutters on our house. No awnings, but we have a big front porch.

Nope..not our home's style. We use the plantation ones inside.

No awnings, but I have two large ledges beneath my front windows I want to put flower boxes in.

When we bought our house there was a pair of wooden shutters around the picture window, but they started falling apart. Then we put on the plastic shutters that they sell around all the windows except the back, well then we had a bad storm a few years back and some of the got ruined. We then resided the house and decided not to put them back up.
I have always liked flower boxes but don't have the area for any right now.

We have dark blue shutters on the front of our house; they match my in-laws' home (our home is on their property, right on the other side of the driveway). Just decorative. We just got window boxes for our two front windows, which makes it look more like a little home and not a big white box and we have a flat rock at our front door (which never gets used). We don't have any window awnings or anything, but we have plans!! A covered porch on the front with cement slab floor (I'm hoping to get my dad to come down and do texturing and staining on the concrete so it looks like natural stone). After that goes in, I'll be able to have gardens out front!! I'm very very excited!
