We don't have any porches, but we do have 2 decks. I have always loved the old time wrap around porches!

Do you have a porch on your house?

What is it like?

I actually don't like porches...I know, I'm weird! LOL! I just prefer a more formal exterior. When we were looking for houses last year, houses with porches were nixed off the list. LOL

So, I don't have a porch, on my front steps I have two large black metal urns...I do different things with them throughout the year. I tend to not do flowers because they just get baked in the afternoon sun and the flowers get fried. So I do more of a 'green' arrangement with ivy, and non flowering plants. I also use some curly grapevine, sticking up straight out of the pot. In the fall, I do put in mums. In the wintertime, I have two pine trees that go in there that I string with white lights.

I have a sun porch, 3 season type thing on the front of my house. So far it is used for storing an extra bedroom set and couch that we are trying to get rid of!!! LOL!

I don't care for wrap around porches as I would rather have a bigger room that the porch takes from. But, we do have a rather large front porch. It is about 4x8 so it is good size and we can put plants out there as well as a bench to sit and watch the kids play.

I would LOVE to have a wrap around porch...those are my favorites. We have a plain straight porch across the front (it is wide enough for chairs to fit comfortably) and a deck on the back.

This is the porch (I used one of our listing pictures)

I love wrap around porches! There's so nostalgic looking and make a great living area when the weather is nice. We replaced our old front porch a couple years ago. It's about 10'x22' and has a gable roof. I love it! It took a lot of nagging and help from friends and family to get it done but it was so worth it. I'd post a pic but don't have one right now.
