Why didn't I think of this before?!?!? I wear an apron IN the house, why not wear an apron when working outdoors, too? I was in a gardening store looking for something else when I noticed gardening aprons. I thought they were used only to help carry around the hand tools, etc. That's when I had one of those 'duh!' moments and realized aprons are aprons - they help keep your clothes clean. Until the appropriate gardening apron comes into my life, I'm wearing my husband's old shirts. It makes my life easier.
