So if anyone has ever stripped paint off trim, you might know how I feel right now. I bought this stuff to strip it with. It bubbles the paint off and works great but is messy. I didn't buy the after strip wash so I'm using diluted paint thinner. Our woodwork is detailed so its hard to get in the nooks and crannies. I'm using a wire brush right now. It seems to work but may take a while. I have the baseboard on one wall done so far and am working on a window. What a pain! No wonder dh just told me to paint it. Well, I wanted it to look nice and the paint was popping off anyway.

I actually used some product very similar to what you are using. I had a bathroom cupboard that I redid and yes it is messy, a little smelly (the product I had was) and it did take a little time, but I thought that it was well worth it in the end when you see the finished results By the way my DH thought the same thing as yours that I should just repaint it!

Oh, I feel your pain. Last summer I stripped the baseboards and trim in oldest dd's room, then repainted them. It sure was a tough job. Now that it's finished, I'm glad it took the old paint and varnish off. The new paint is staying on everything really nicely.

In a previous home, we opted not to strip the woodwork and just paint over it. The paint came off really easily and we (well, really, I, dh could have cared less) wished we'd just taken the time to do it properly.

You know, I probably would have just painted over it and then been disappointed. I've been thinking of redoing the cabinetry and trim in my bathroom, but they are not painted, so they will be easy
