I have to share I am so excited about this fall and my new method of financing my yarn addiction. So I got all the details worked out to start teaching knitting classes through a craft store. The first class isn't until October 12th but they need time to get it on there fall class sechedules. This will be my first time teaching and getting paid $5 per student per hour. With 3-6 students. As a SAHM this is perfect because the class hours are all while my DH is home. Getting this was really as easy as taking them up on the "we are looking for instructors" signs

That is cool! I started knitting this past winter, self taught, and I suspect a lesson or two would do wonders.

What a great opportunity for you!! Congratulations!! I'll bet you are excited. I think that would be really fun to do.

And I suppose maybe if someone were to just ask a craft shop owner if they would be interested in hosting such classes (if they don't have any crafting classes advertised, I mean) I bet they'd go for it. I think alot of people are becoming more interested in hobbies such as this, and I'll be willing to bet that a few of your students end up being younger than you'd think.

Best of luck, and thanks for the tip for a great side job for crafters.
