Been working on it for almost a week now, since I have to bring the baby over and put her in the trailer where it's cool, and go back and forth to check on her. If it's not too hot I put her on the covered porch for a bit too.
But anyway, my friend wanted a platform deck. Her on and off again bf was supposed to do it but he kept hemming and hawing. So, last weekend, we decided I would try to do it, and went and got all the supplies and I hauled them to her place with my parent's car hauler LOL.
My friend is not a builder type person, so I pretty much had her to help lift things into place when I needed an extra set of hands, and then when she was home, I had her move the spacer nails for me. The rest was all me! Wooo!! I still have to put the skirt board on, and build steps for each side.
The trailer is not level. The deck is LOL. I'ts 12'x12'. I ran into our neighbor at the Home Depot when we were getting the wood and told him I was buildign a deck. He asked DH a few days ago where the deck was and DH told him that since he didn't have the money yet for a deck, I was just going around building them for other people

(Our deck needs to be completely torn down, plus the roof has to be redone, and then it has to be changed in layout to be more user friendly - a little more than I can do on my own!).
Woo!
