What is your favorite plant, and why?

Would you recommend your favorite plant to someone that doesn't have a greenthumb?

My favorite is the Philodendron followed by the Wandering Jew and I like them because they don't require much care and you don't have to water them that often.

I would recommend these houseplants to someone that can't grow anything because they are so little time consuming to take care of.

I also love the Philodendron...and the Snake plant is another favorite.
I have lots of both!

Nothing.

It simplies my life immensely to not have any houseplants at all.

Rarely, I forget and try to grow something. Then I remember why I stopped in the first place.

Bamboo! It does not need a whole lot of sunlight, water once a week (if that) and it thrives! It is the only plant that I have not killed inside the house! I would love to have a jade plant that my DH does not kill (the 2 times I have had one- he killed them out of one crazy reason or another!).
