Help! Bleach stains on countertop.

I tried to clean some spots off of my bathroom counter with a bleach/water solution, and now those areas are stained bright yellow! (Should have tested a small area but of course i didn't.) I'm not sure what the countertop material is but it's just the cheap apartment stick-on kind. Any ideas on how to get the yellow out? Is there any hope??? #1 it bugs me and #2 i don't want to pay for a new countertop when we move out of here!!!
