I wish I knew how to make a collage of pictures - it would make it much easier for this. I'm not sure why the pics are just attachments instead of being able to see them (anyone want to help?). I apparently didn't take as many before pictures as I thought.

Old cabinets were the standard tract housing oak with outside hindges. New cabinets are maple with inside slow close hindges . The pictures really don't show the new color really well. The main parts of the kitchen are almost a cherry color finish. I did flat panel curved tops on all the upper cupboards, flat panel straight edge on bottom cupboards. The island is raised panel in a darker brown color. I put false panels on the back side of the island to make it more decorative. I rebuilt the pantry to include a third one. Plus I did roll-outs in the island and bottom portion of the pantries (sorry that I did ). The top portion of the pantries now how moveable shelving .

Now I get to redo the floor and then repaint and make new valances. Eventually I will get stainless steal appliances - maybe in five years or so. The only appliance we have had since we moved in is the refrigerator. Everything else, including the sink is less than 6 years old.

Thanks! I really like the new colors. They do change depending on the lighting/time of day. I still need to sust them off, but I am waiting a week or so until I know I can't harm the stain

Now to choose flooring! I was going to go with laminate, but after reading I think it will either be vinyl or linolium.

Wow! What a difference. We are looking at model homes right now, and it's like you've taken a "typical" home and made it look like one where you expect designer things around. Very nice job.

Wow, thanks! I was really glad that I went with a European design in the doors - which means they almost touch each other instead of having a large piece of wood inbetween them. I also changed from no knobs and hand pulls to putting them on.

I couldn't justify spending the kind of money to remodel if I wasn't going to make it POP and be a drastic change from what I had.

Now if I could only accessorize - I'm not that good
