My current war is with the stupid cabbage butterflies, which are getting to my broccoli and cabbage. Since I will not use any chemicals, right now I've just been rubbing the eggs off, removing the caterpillars, and I put some netting over, but I have to see how effect that was over the holiday. Stupid butterflies....

At the moment it's an all out battle against japanese beetles. I take a jar with a bit of dish soap and pick them off my plants and put them in the jar and they drown. I don't want to use any kind of chemical. I got 100's of them yesterday and there are just as many out there today. I have a lot of acreage and live in the middle of nowhere, so I think it's a losing battle.
