This may have been talked about before but I can't remember so I am gonna ask it.

What do you use and how often do you clean the inside of your dishwasher?

I never have...I've never had to. If I notice something on the door or walls of the dishwasher, I'll use a sponge to get it off. I wipe the sides of the door every week.

Take 1 cup of white vinegar and pour it into the bottom of the diswasher when you run a load...this will help to clean out the unit. However, I've found that I still have to wipe down the edges with a sponge...I use a sponge soaked in viegar. It's been working for me, hope this helps.

I have a stainless steel interior so I don't wash that. I sometimes will take off the arm sprayers if they get clogged with something and I check the screen filter and wipe down the seal around the door.

The grocery store carry what is called JET DRY DISHWASHER CLEANER, it costs about $4 or 5 dollars and you remove the tab on top of the bottle and turn it upside down in the silverware rack, and turn on you dishwasher and let it go threw the cycles, make sure the dishwasher is empty, if it is extremely bad then it may need a second time but this will remove any limescale and stuck on foods and any smells that is coming out of it, in the future put the regular jet dry in for your rinse cycles and that will help also

I read this years and years ago and it works.

Run the dishwasher empty and put TANG (yep the drink mix) and run it thru the complete cycle. Just 2 tablespoons.

Never.

We have soft water so no minerals build-up. The DW has a garbage disposal built-in so I don't have to worry about food build-up (the only downside of the Bosch is that it doesn't so you have to clean-out the trap).

I've had problems with the jets getting clogged on our dishwasher. I have to take the arms out and use tweezers to pick the foods out of the jets. We also have a food trap in the bottom that I clean out about 4X per year. I don't pay money for any special cleaners, it takes less than 20 minutes for me to clean everything out once I figured out how. I know when to clean them when the dishes don't rinse properly.
