If you do get a day off...

Who does the cleaning for that day? Is your DH/SO and/or kids or is it just left for you to do the next day?

What warrants for you to get a day off is it for your Birthday, Mother's day or some other Holiday?

All the time.

I clean the house when I feel like it, or when company is coming. Normally when coming is coming. The only thing that gets done daily is dishes, as we normally cook at home. DH vacuums/mops on the weekends. If something is getting really dirty & it's bothering him, he'll clean it. He knows I work full time & only have a few hours every week to get groceries, cook meals, take care of dishes, laundry, flower gardens, exercise, etc. I do laundry thru the week as necessary (when one of the hampers is full, I do that load). When weather is good, I prefer to spend my time in the yard or reading in the hammock. When weather is poor, then I'll clean inside more, but still mostly in the week preceding company coming.

It's just the 2 of us, so it doesn't get out of control, except for the cat hair.

I really don't feel that I spend that much time cleaning. I can get everything done while ds takes his afternoon nap. Dh does all the cleaning after dinner and most of the cleaning on the weekends. I don't lift a finger to clean on my birthday and Mother's Day. I don't think my house is that dirty anyway, so if I skipped a day it really wouldn't be a big deal.

Not totally. If I did, then I would have more to do the next day. But I am not at all concerned with having a really clean housel.

I give myself 'days off'...all the time! LOL! It's just not a big deal...my guys are older (10 and 13) and they're very good about not leaving stuff around, putting dishes in the dishwasher etc I don't expect Dh or the kids to do anything when I slack off...
