My brother grew sweet corn with success for the first time this year and has tons. I blanched and froze 12 cups of corn on Thursday and then today I did about 20 more cups. I am so excited to do this. It will taste so good come the middle of winter.

We always have to eat sweet corn every day for a couple weeks because we don't have room to freeze it. It will be so nice for you to have GOOD corn this winter!!

I'd trade you for the corn. I have cucumber coming out the wazoo. You can only make so many pickles.

DH's boss plants a field of sweet corn every year, and employees can go pick all they want. We're going this morning. I try to get 50 pints in the freezer. The guys sit outside and shuck it, while I blanch. then DH and I cut and pack it. Then I spend a while mopping the sticky stuff off the floor. It's an all-day job - but sooo worth it! We can't stand store-bought corn any more. I also freeze a few whole (blanched) cobs using the food saver. DS loves those treats in the middle of winter.
