your own pet toys.... if so do you mind sharing how you made them?

I have always wanted to make little toys for the pets but I don't know where to begin.

I don't make toys for my kitten or buy them.. But she likes these items


Balled up paper..
My DS plastic golfballs (they have holes in them so she can get it stuck on a nail and fling)
Balled up socks..
my lanyard for my keys (that you put around your neck)
Toilet paper tubes FAVORS the paper towel tubes though
And my ponytail holders...

I never thought Of Making them either, Cause there are so many things that every one of Our Kittens have Loved and Preferred over store bought toys.

Mine loves those large paper grocery bags.....
also ribbons......
I bought a wooden dowel at wal mart for about 40 cents
and tied a bunch of ribbons to the end and he likes that too...

Countdown Clocks

Both our dogs love sock toys, especially the dane. Take 2 old socks (we use tube socks since they are bigger and will have floppy ends) Lay them in an "X"and tie them in a knot. When the dane chews one up he goes into his "sock box" and gets a couple (or all ) new ones. When I was growing up at times they were the only toys we really could afford for the dogs.
