I'm betting my boys will want to be superhero's this year. Since my oldest (5)has a Batman sword I'm betting he'll want to be Batman. My 3 year old LOVES Spiderman so I'm thinking that's what he could be. So I'm thinking I'll dress my 1 year old up as Superman. I will probably buy these costumes if this is what they want to be.

Otherwise they have the options of hand-me-downs. DS1 can wear his old pirate costume I made him. I have the makings of another pirate costume for DS2 if he wants to be. Oh, but if they do this I'd probably have to purchase the parrot costume I found online for DS3. How cute would that be!

Of course we still have a dinosaur costume that'll fit DS2 and DS3 could be the frog. Who knows...

Oh, and my kids have always kept their costumes on (at every age so far).

DD is 2yrs and wants to be and orange starfish. I found a pattern for a starfish pillow that I think I can enlarge and modify, but I really am not good at sewing. I have a friend that sews really well, so I plan to meet with her this week for some ideas.

Yes she will. Last year at Halloween she was 11 months old and had no problem keeping her costume on, even the head piece that tied under her chin. Although she is almost 21 months old, she has not yet tried to take her clothes off...so I don't think I will have a problem with her in a costume.

I don't know yet, but I will be making her something. I did see some cute candy corn fabric at WM I think I'm going to make her some pants out of that.

I just purchased a child sized white lab coat and black bow tie for my ds, 6. He is going as a 'mad scientist' but I don't say the 'mad' to him, he thinks that means 'angry' scientist. Anyway, I am embarrassed on how much it cost, the coat was $27 with shipping (those darn shipping charges always get me) and the bow tie was on $5 but with $8 shipping! It's insane!

But, I have to say that this is his 6th Halloween, and all the other costumes were very very inexpensive, and he's Hard to shop for. I won't do anything gory or really scary, and he's not into characters at ALL. Last year he went as a cowboy, and although he looked great it was not his personality at all.

So now that he's old enough to have some major input, I suggested a scientist and he Loved the idea! So like I said, he's wearing a child sized lab coat, a black bow tie, I'm going to buy him black jeans (he can wear these later too), and he'll wear black tie shoes. Then we'll replace his glasses with crazy round ones, spike his hair up, pin a rubber rat onto his shoulder, and pin on a test tube filled with green liquid (white glue mixed with green food coloring) onto his jacket. Add a pocket protector and a pen, and he'll be all set!!

I love Halloween!!
