Every week I'm trying to tackle something small, like oranizing my recipes or just pulling out photo's I want to something with. This week is trying to figure out a way to organize my recipes. I have a box and a bunch of books too and just need a simple way to organize them. I like pictures too. I was thinking about getting a 3 ring binder and 4x6 plastic photo sheet pages and put them in there. Any ideas. Thanks

I have been working on my recipes this weekend, too. A few months ago I gave away a lot of my cookbooks- now if I need a recipe I just google the topic and go from there. I am planning to do a three ring binder, also, for the recipes I use all the time. I want to do a scrapbook-type binder... make it something fun. I even got a recipe scrapbook kit for Xmas that is just waiting for me.

Any recipe that I know I will never use I am tossing. Those that look really interesting I am keeping in a file folder, and the true "keepers" are going into my notebook. This will take awhile, but I am taking baby steps, anyway

I try to purge every few months. I keep a 3 ring binder with page protectors and I categorize them. The next time I go through them, if I haven't made it, then it's gone! I used to collect cookbooks but I've narrowed down my collection to my favorites. I've decided to commit to not buying more and to stop printing recipes unless it's something I'm making for a specific event.

I keep my recipes organized in a three ring binder. I use plastic sheet protectors to protect my printed sheets. It's so much easier for me to find recipes this way too.
