I read this recently and loved the attitude:

Do not fight paper. BE IN CHARGE

It's paper... a lot of it you never even knew existed until it came into your house. Now it's sitting on your counter, so then what? If it goes as easily out of your house as it came in, will your life go on as happily? YES. Be in charge. Get the trashcan. Junk the junk. File the important stuff today. Do not feel guilty.

This is a good tip. As soon as the mail comes into the house I go through it and open all and all the trash goes in the trash and all the bills goes in my organizer. I can't stand the clutter. And definately don't need to biuld another mess to add to my to do list.

This goes with the kids' artwork too. I take pictures of their work with them holding it & another shot of just the artwork. They get to pick a couple of special pieces a year to keep in the art portfolio. It's the memory of what they did that's special, not the piles of constructions paper!
