I am leaving in a few hours for a nice trip to Disney World. The week before leaving for a long trip I do extensive cleaning in my house so when I come back it is a pleasure to walk in the door.

I have shampooed the carpets, sofa, chair and futon, scrubed the toilets and showers, washed the floors, swept the stairs outside, put away the toys outside both kids and adults, stripped the beds and then after washing the sheets, made the beds, washed the windows inside and out, did all dishes and softscrubed all the sinks in the house. I have emptied the garage from every room and rolled it down to the road. I have ordered feed to be delivered for the horses, rabbit, etc and arrange care of said animals. I have left instructions for the pool and found some girls to use it everyday.

I feel very good about what I have done the past two days and will appreciate it more when I get back and see a clean house.

I always clean my house right before I go on vacation -- it is so nice to come back to a clean house. I also change my sheets, so I come home to clean ones

I do it too, even for a weekend away...I despise comming home to a mess. Even dishes in the sink are a big no-no.
