Do you think you could convince him to allow your DS to have bedding in the green color, or maybe just do one wall in the green as others have suggested?
I say this because my DH sounds just like yours, he is very adamant about walls being nuetral and he likes brown for furniture, etc. I have slowly begun to bring color into our house, like red throw blanket in living room, red and gold plates in kitchen etc. I have been telling DH that I wanted to get a new duvet cover that was livelier for our bedroom. (currently we have a light forest green duvet cover to go with our dark brown furniture and cream color walls). Well for Mothers Day, he and DD bought me a matching sheet set and duvet cover which has monkeys on one side (very darling and lively) and is lime green on the other side. Last night DH confessed that he liked the new look and he was glad I talked him into getting it. He also said that he really liked the lime green color on our bed as it brought a "punch of life" to our bedroom. Maybe you and DH can compromise on this?
