My Mom bought my 5 year old a 'fancy' pink dress with spaghetti straps and a flouncy skirt. (Another thing she couldn't live without while visiting Grandma) And I have a remnant of black see through sheer (netty type-very light weight) fabric which I gathered into a loosely fitting ankle length cape, attached a loosely fitting hood to it (ties at the neck with ribbon) and now she's going as Cinderella. I think you can add this type cape to any older fancy dress and 'voila' you have a costume. -- Jeanne from CA
