After finding a black wig and witch's hat at a thrift store, I had half the costume down. I just needed to find a dress! Not wanting to take the time (or money to buy a pattern) to sew a costume, I bought two yards of black fabric. I folded the fabric in half, and cut an approximately 7-inch hole for my daughter's head. I cut a jagged edge on the bottom of the dress and cinched it at the waist with a black belt. My daughter wore it over a black turtleneck with black tights and shoes she already had. We spent less than $10 on the entire costume. -- Fran from MA
