Fourth of July T-Shirts
Have your kids (and you, too!) create fun, patriotic t-shirts in an hour or less!
What you'll need:
White t-shirt
red and blue cotton fabric
wonder-under or any other double-faced iron on fabric adhesive
straight pins
scissors
fabric paint (optional)
Pin wonder-under to back side of fabric. Cut stars or other patriotic shapes out of fabric (with wonder under pieces cut to same size). With mom's help, iron shapes onto t-shirts. You may also want to add writing with fabric paint (ideas include: Happy Birthday, America! or your child's name)
TIE-DYING T-SHIRTS
T-shirt in white or another light color
Fabric Dye (like RIT)
Buckets
Rubber bands
Create a design by tying your t-shirt with rubber bands. Place in a bucket with dye until the desired color. The longer you leave it, the more intense the color will be. Remove from dye and rinse with cold water until water run clear. Be sure to wash your t-shirt separately to avoid getting dye on any other clothing.
Variations: Create a patriotic t-shirt by using red and blue dye. Add embellishments like iron-on decals to your shirt.

The other stocking threads inspired me to ask you ladies. I'm rather stumped on how to do this inexpensively. I've adopted several families this year for Christmas and need some suggestions on what to put in a 1 yr old girl, 2 yr old boy and 3 yr old boy's stockings.
