It started when I was younger my brother in law would put bunny foot prints all over the house to make it look like the Easter bunny was hoping thru my parents house. He would use baby powder and use his fingers to make the prints. I always liked that and I do that for my kids now and we also some times hide a small present outside. (weather permitting) like sandbox toys. -- Beth from MI
When the kids are in bed the night before Easter, my husband makes a trail of small, wrapped chocolate Easter eggs from each bedroom to their basket. They pick up the little eggs and follow the trail until they get to their basket. We do the same thing at Christmas, and the bonus is that they are so excited at what they see at the end of the trail that they forget all about the mini eggs, and we can take them and put them back in the freezer for the next occasion! Our mini eggs have lasted about 3 years now! -- Stacey from Ontario
Just 2 words.............Flashlight Egg Hunt....very very cool and tons of fun. Buy bright colored PLASTIC eggs, fill with goodies, give each child a flashlight and let the fun begin. -- Shannon from NV
When I make my kids' Easter baskets, I try to avoid candy, so I stuff them with treats like Jell-o cups, fruit cups, goldfish crackers, cheese and peanut butter crackers. Books are a good addition too. -- Gina from IL
My mom would always leave a note from the "Easter Bunny" hidden in one of those big chocolate hollow bunnies...I did this for my own daughter last year and she was excited to say the least! -- Tammy from AK
My favorite Easter activity is decorating the eggs, but I don't use dye. I use markers, stickers, glitter, etc.. Not only is this less messy, but it allows the kids to really do it. The eggs have to be really dry or the stickers and such won't stick. So I suggest hard boiling the eggs a day or so before and then taking them out of the fridge a little while before decorating. We only decorate 2 eggs each and also don't eat them so I don't refrigerate them after cooking and we do them about 24 hours later. The kids love it and have a ball doing it. -- Michelle from CA
