Money Saving Ideas

As with every holiday, I buy the day after. I have a plastic storage box that I store everything in. Each holiday I rummage through to see what I would like to use. Except for candy, this saves so much money! I have valentine day cards for next year that I bought for $.99 at CVS. You get Easter baskets dirt cheap the day after Easter. Plus, all the small toys for Easter baskets (like silly putty, bendy bunnies, Easter pins, pencils and pens...etc.). If you are diligent about this you save a lot of money and a lot of time. Just make sure you find a good hiding spot that your kids won't get into it!!! -- Erin

Instead of buying an expensive Easter basket set for my son, I put one together for him. It consists of a basket he used last year, a coloring book (from dollar store), a couple of cars (under a dollar), 1 chocolate bunny, and picture puzzle of the family he can put together (which I've made at home using a copy of one of our pictures). -- Adrianna from TX

I like go to local thrift stores to shop for my children's Easter Baskets. :) They more than likely always have them at very reasonable prices in different sizes. Since I like to decorate with baskets, I can always recycle them into my decor around the house too :) -- Paula from WA
