If I had a day to myself...:

If I had the day to myself, I would start if off by sleeping in. I would then put some of my favorite music on and sip my coffee while listening. I would then curl up in front of a fire and read until I couldn't read any more. Then a leisurely bath would be in order. I would then find an adult restaurant to eat a nice hot meal. With a full tummy, I would go home and take a nice long nap. I would then find a long forgotten craft project to complete without interruption. WOW! This sounds like a dream day to me.

Money Saving Tips:
I make a list for shopping and I only buy what is on the list.  I plan a weeks worth of meals before shopping.

Bargain Hunting Strategies:

I usually shop clearance sales. Target has most of their clearance items along the outside perimeter of the store. I also shop consignment stores.

Products we can't live without:

Mr Clean Magic Eraser. They clean anything off the walls.

In the Kitchen:
My kids love to make and eat these treats.

Saltine Toffee Bars

Saltine Crackers (enough to cover the bottom of a pizza pan.)
2 sticks of margarine
1 Cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 12 oz bag of chocolate chiips

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line cookie sheet with foil. Cover foil with whole crackers. On stovetop  Melt butter and add brown sugar. Bring to a boil, boil and stir for 2 minutes. Pour over crackers and bake for 4 minutes. Cover with chocolate chips and spread when melted to make icing. Refrigerate and break into pieces. (You can also top with chopped nuts while chocolate is still melted.)

Organization:

I homeschool two of my children. So, organization is key. I try to make sure everything has a home and it gets put back after it is used. This is a chore in and of itself.
