Real Mom Profile

Name: Jessica D.
Age:  21
Home: Baxter Springs KS

Family's Names and Ages:
J.J. (dh) 23
Macey (dd) 2
Laken and Keegan
(twin boys, waiting for their arrival!!

Occupation:
I went to Cosmetology school, had health and personal problems. (such as life) Now I am a stay at home mommy with twin boys on the way!

If I had a day to myself...:

I would spend my time getting a mani-pedi, my hair done, facials, etc... A day at the spa would be Heaven!

Money Saving Tips:
Buy generic brands...I have learned this from my mother in law. I didn't like it at first and there are still things that I have to buy name brand but it does save $$$. It all adds up in the end, right?!

Bargain Hunting Strategies:
I have always shopped at Wal-Mart just because that is what we had in a small town, but after working there I learned that customers can add match there items, it saves sooo much time and $$ in the long run.

Products we can't live without:
For myself I would have to say Revlon Colorstay Foundation. I have used it for years and don't have great skin so it covers well and I never have to worry about touch ups.

In the Kitchen:
Instead of buying those expensive containers to store leftovers in, my (mil) reuses the butter tubs and for smaller portions the sour cream or French dip containers. They are great for (dh) to use because lets face it we never see the expensive ones again after they take them for lunch!

Organization:
My mother was the queen of organization, however she was also a pack-rat. I use small plastic containers in my bathroom for ponytail holders, bobby pins, hair brushes, etc... I am not afraid to throw anything away, due to my mom keeping everything, if I don't use it, then it belongs to the trash. Keeping things that you don't need only causes clutter.
