Name: Mary
Age:    31

Home: Glencoe, MN

Family's Names and Ages:
Randy-40, Zachary-7, Anastasia-5, Molly-3, Maggie-2, Baby-due in April

Occupation:
I still work every other weekend as a nurse in a psych ward.  Before children I taught for a few years.

If I had a day to myself...:
I would read, read, read and then sleep and then go for a walk by myself!!  But I know I would already be bored before the day ended and wishing my children were around!

Money Saving Tips:
We buy generic for almost everything that can be bought.  Our outings include the library, the park and the free beach.  I hit the garage sales in the summer, and am always on the lookout for birthday and Christmas presents.  We have saved a lot by cutting our satellite out and just having fun time.  We have also increased our deductibles on our house and car.  Each little way adds up!!

Bargain Hunting Strategies:
We have a Super Walmart nearby and do almost all our shopping--grocery and otherwise there.  They even offer 5cents off per gallon of gas with their gift card!  We also hit Goodwill and Kohls.

Products we can't live without:
Laundry soap, a broom, and books.  That about sums up my day!  The kids love to make six-shake pudding and eat cottage cheese.  And cereal has been more than once a quick lunch or supper if Dad isn't home.

In the Kitchen:
I wash dishes by hand, so always have a sink full of water when I am preparing a meal.  Then when supper is done, the pans are already washed and the kids can finish dishes quickly.

Organization:
I have small shoe box size containers for everything---writing utensils, hair stuff, toys, food packets, etc.  We also have a daughter with celiac disease and have found that having her own cupboard works great!!
