Still searching for ways to step outside the box? As a mom, improving your perspective on life can be easier than you think. Here are some more simple suggestions to help you experience new things in life:
Get together with a friend you have been meaning to get to know better
Check out a store you haven't been to before
Learn a new craft: knitting, sewing, scrapbooking, etc.
Organize a playdate with friends who don't know each other
Try cooking a new ethnic cuisine
Check out some travel DVDs at your library and learn about a new place
Write a letter to someone telling them how much they mean to you
Get a manicure or a pedicure (check out beauty schools for bargain prices)
Move your bed so that you wake up with a new view
Switch tasks with your husband for a night (i.e. he cooks while you mow the lawn)
Put your child's 'regular' toys away; get out ones he hasn't played with for long time
Resolve to quit complaining for an entire week
Invite a friend out to lunch at a place you don't normally go
Skip your "regular" TV shows in favor of new ones for a day
Buy new shades of makeup
Take the bus or a taxi somewhere
Hire a babysitter and do something for yourself for a couple of hours
Plan a date with your husband
Invite a neighbor over for dinner or coffee
In the car, listen to a different radio station
Buy a new trendy piece of clothing or accessory
Complete a home improvement project
Make the step to do something new professionally
