With school back in session, piles of papers will soon follow. Fliers, permission slips, menus, homework, and art projects. This simple craft can be done by kids as young as preschool age, and is a fun way to help organize or display papers on your fridge!
My daughter hasn't started school yet, so we are using our elephant fridge clips to hold some of her drawings (an owl and a velociraptor). She got the idea for this craft on CBeebies (BBC's children's network), but I didn't see it, so I took “elephant with a clippie on his trunk” and ran with it. To make this elephant fridge clip, you'll need:
- grey construction paper
- a magnet
- a clothespin
- strong glue
- scissors
Draw and cut out an elephant shape with ears. Draw and cut out a trunk separately. Make sure it will cover your clothespin.
Glue the magnet to the back of the elephant. Glue the trunk to one side of the clothespin. Glue the other side of the clothespin to the elephant's face. Once the glue is dried, stick the elephant magnet on the fridge and use the clip to organize for back to school!
