Last year, I made this family memory jar. It was a great spot to collect those ticket stubs, wristbands, notes, and other mementos we didn’t want to throw away. For us, a memory jar is a much more convenient way to record what happened during the year than keeping a journal. We kept the jar on our kitchen counter where we could see it and watch the jar fill throughout the year.
We plan on going through the things in the jar on New Year’s Eve to reflect on all the fun things we’ve done throughout the year. After that, we’ll switch the year sticker on the jar, store our old mementos in a box, and start adding new things to the jar for the new year.
You’ll Need:
- 1-gallon cracker jar
- Alphabet stickers
