Homemade Bumblebee Costume

September 25, 2010 by Kimberly Danger Leave a Comment

Here’s another easy homemade bumblebee costume idea (we already shared another method for a bee costume here) that incorporates fabric paint to create the stripes.  This one is also quick, easy, frugal, and fun!  If you don’t have or can’t find yellow leggings, black ones would work too.

You’ll Need:
Yellow tee-shirt
Yellow leggings
Wings and antennae
Black Fabric Paint (we used Simply Spray)
********************

Instructions: Use wide tape (such as duct tape) to section off lines on the front of the shirt. Once taped off, use black fabric spray over it to create the stripes.  Once the paint dries, pull off the tape and make your lines on the back and repeat the process.  Add wings or antennae to complete your bumblebee look.
