Let’s Talk Frugal Gardening

July 29, 2011 by Kimberly Danger 1 Comment

tomato garden

As a frugal gardener with a somewhat brown thumb, I was pretty excited to see my very first ripe tomato today!  I was so thrilled that I photographed it in all its glory.  Mostly to show my dad, who grows the biggest, best tomatoes of anyone I know (yes, Dad, I can do it too!).

If you’re reluctant, I’ve found an easy way to get started gardening is with a square foot garden.  It’s also a great way to garden if you have a small back yard like we do.

If you want to talk frugal gardening, there are quite a few discussions going on in our forums.  Our frugal members have the best advice around, because they’ve “Been there, done that.”  I credit them for turning my brown thumb green this year!
