Fun Activities for Kids: Christmas Handprint Reindeer
This handprint reindeer craft is a fun Christmas activity for kids and it’s a really easy craft to make. All of the supplies for this Christmas craft can be found at a craft store or in the craft section of Walmart. You might even find bags of googly eyes, pompoms and jingle bells at the dollar store this time of year.
Using finger paint or washable paint is ideal. If you can’t find finger paint in white or brown, just use craft paint and be careful and have some baby wipes or a damp washcloth on hand for immediate clean up.

Handprint Reindeer Craft Instructions
To make the reindeer head out of a hand print, cover one hand in brown paint. We used the right hand for a left-facing reindeer. Stamp the hand print down where you want the reindeer head to be.
Now, spin the construction paper 180 degrees. Using the same hand, cover the hand in brown paint again and stamp next to the existing hand print to add the reindeer body.
Paint a red or green “collar” on the reindeer.
Use white finger paint to make fingerprint snow on the construction paper.
Paint black hooves on the reindeer, if desired.
Once the paint is dry, glue on the extra items. Hot glue will make the everything extra secure, especially the jingle bell, which is a little heavier. Add a googly eye and a red or black pompom nose – depending on if your reindeer is Rudolph or not! Then glue a jingle bell (or 5) onto the handprint reindeer’s collar.
Another fun activity, if you don’t want to deal with paint, is to trace the handprints and then color the reindeer with crayons, colored pencils or markers.
