Homemade Exfoliating Face Scrub

Save money by giving yourself a facial at home! I love trying new recipes for homemade beauty products. I especially like when I have all the ingredients on hand, like this Homemade Exfoliating Face Scrub I recently tried.

Oatmeal is very moisturizing, and also helps clean out your pores. Baking soda is a great exfoliating agent, but not if your skin is sensitive. Don’t leave this scrub on your face more than 30 seconds, and if you feel any stinging, immediately rinse it off. If you know your skin is sensitive, leave the baking soda out entirely.

Ingredients for Homemade Exfoliating Oatmeal Scrub

  • 2 teaspoons ground oatmeal (pulse it in the blender to grind it up)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • warm water

Mix the oatmeal and baking soda. Slowly add warm water until a sticky paste is formed. Pat the oatmeal scrub onto your clean face. Scrub oily or problem areas gently for a few seconds, and rise off with warm water.

My face felt very soft and smooth after using this scrub, and I’ll be trying this recipe again.
