Homemade Santas

Are you looking for a fun and easy little craft to do with your little ones?  Well, if you have cotton balls around your house, you can probably make a Santa.  Here are a couple that I came up with this morning, while trying to entertain my 2 year old.  We made them both in about 15 minutes, but she played with them for hours.

Santa Cup

  • Supplies – 1 clear cup, 1 cotton ball, 2 googly eyes, glue, 1 red muffin cup, 1 Q-tip, and pink paint.
  • Directions – Turn the cup upside down.  Turn the red muffin cup upside down and glue to the bottom of the cup.  Pull apart the cotton ball to make a beard, fuzz for the Santa hat, and a top ball for the Santa hat.  Adhere in the appropriate places with glue.  Use the Q-tip and the pink paint to make cheeks and a nose.  (If you would rather, you can use your little ones pinky fingerprint to make the cheeks.)  Adhere the eyes and enjoy.

Popsicle Stick Santa

  • Supplies – 1 popsicle stick, 2 googly eyes, 1 cotton ball, glue, and red foam, construction paper, or cardboard
  • Directions – Cut the foam, paper, or cardboard in the shape of an elongated Santa hat.  Adhere to the popsicle stick.  Pull apart to cotton ball to make a Santa beard, fuzz for the edge of the Santa hat, and a little ball for the top of the Santa hat.  Adhere in the appropriate places.  Adhere the googly eyes.

**If you don’t have googly eyes, there is no need to go out and buy them.  Just use a little liquid paper and a black Sharpie to make the eyes.  That will work great.
