Make Your Own Deodorant
Basic “Recipe” for DIY Deodorant:
- 3 Tbsp. coconut oil
- 2 Tbsp. Shea Butter
- 3 Tbsp. baking soda
- 2 Tbsp. organic cornstarch
- A Few Drops Essential Oils (optional)
Melt the shea butter and coconut oil in the microwave, in increments of 20-30 seconds until barely melted (you don't want to burn it). Mix in the baking soda and cornstarch. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to add scent. Store in an airtight container.

Just a heads up. Some people with slightly more sensitive skin can break out in a really painful rash when using baking soda in deodorant. It’s just a good thing to know ahead of time so that if you end up with a rash, you know exactly what’s causing it!
