Saving Money at the Grocery Store: Buy Meat Reduced for Quick Sale

Meat is easily the most expensive part of any meal – but it doesn’t have to be!  There are ways to save money even on the most expensive cuts of meat.  Look for meat in the butcher’s case that has been reduced for quick sale.  Often, it will be labeled with a “Manager’s Special” or “Price Cut” sticker.  Either use it right away, or freeze it for use later on.   Ask your butcher when meat typically gets marked down.  It can vary by store, but often mornings are the best time to shop.
