This St. Patrick’s Day craft came together really quickly. I used half of a green bell pepper to make shamrock-shaped peppers for Maggie’s green shamrock-themed muffin tin lunch today. Then we used the other half of the pepper to make shamrock paintings!
All you need for this activity is:
- green paint
- paper
- a green bell pepper
I recycled a round, shallow cardboard container to put the paint in.
Cut the green bell pepper in half, widthwise, so you can see its shamrock shape. If you are buy a bell pepper just for this project, you can pick out if you want a three- or four-leaved shamrock.
Then, dip your bell pepper half in the green paint and stamp away!
I’m not sure what we’re going to do with all these shamrock paintings yet, but we sure had fun making them. St. Patrick’s Day cards? Some sort of garland?
