Super-Easy Pasta Salad Recipe

May 26, 2011 by Kimberly Danger 4 Comments

super easy pasta salad recipeNow that summer is nearly upon us, pasta salad is once again on many menu plans.  If you’re getting tired of the same old recipe, here’s another one to try out.  The “secret” ingredient is McCormick Salad Supreme Seasoning.  You’ll find it at just about every large supermarket in the spice aisle, and it gives ordinary pasta salad recipes that extra “zip” that draws compliments when you bring it to potlucks and family gatherings.  Here’s how I make mine:

Super-Easy Pasta Salad
1 box Rotini pasta (I used whole wheat pasta)
1 C. zesty Italian dressing
1 container grape tomatoes, sliced or halved
1 green pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
Pepperoni, sliced
4 Tbsp. McCormick Salad Supreme Seasoning

Combine all the ingredients above and chill. Toss before serving.

Note: You can change up this recipe according to your taste and what you have on hand.  It is also very good with diced cheese cubes or feta cheese crumbles.

I like to make this with black olives and shredded parmesan added to it, too. I also use the colored to make it more fun and appealing to the kiddos.

Our family has been making this recipe for many many years and it is very good and simple to make. My son loves it:-) I also add cawliflower black olives and small cubed cheese:-)

I’ve also been making this recipe for years and recently started using fat free Italian dressing. There is a big difference in fat from regular dressing to fat free dressing. thanks.

That with a bit of parmiggiano chees and a good red wine plus a dozen green olives to eat separately and am in heaven:)
