Chimichangas Using Leftovers

January 7, 2011 by Kimberly Danger 1 Comment

Chimi recipe - Leftovers

This a super yummy way to use leftover taco meat both hamburger and chicken taste great (the bean mixture from Meatless Tacos is perfect for this!). I love recipes that use leftovers, not only does it cut my prep time in half, but we also save money by reusing the previous meal’s meat. Preparing a frugal meal that taste delicious is like winning a gold medal for our budget.

Ingredients:
– 1 can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (Use this $.50 off 2 coupon)
– Leftover taco meat (beef, chicken, or beans)
– Sharp cheddar cheese shredded

Toppings (all optional):
– Taco sauce (use $1 off 2 Ortega products)
– Sour cream
– Guacamole (use $2 off 1 coupon)
– Mexican cheese

Unroll Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. Separate into 4 rectangles and press the seams together. Place Rectangles on greased baking sheet.

Spoon meat onto one side of the rectangle and top with cheese (I use about a teaspoon of cheese)

Take the empty side and fold Pillsbury dough over. Press ends together.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Top with your favorites and enjoy!
