Laminated Photo Place Mats A few of years ago, I made these homemade photo place mats to give my parents as a gift for Christmas. I was able to get the photos free, so my only cost was the paper and the lamination. They were really easy to make, and Grandma and Grandpa still use them. These would also be terrific for daycare providers, with pictures of the kids who go there. Make one for each child! I did the homemade Bailey’s last year and it was a great hit! I found fun colored wine bottled at TJ Maxx for only 2.99 and they looked terrific. Wish I had taken pictures.

These are GREAT! Any ideas for homemade gifts for 11-14 year old boys and girls?
That’s a tough age, Mindy, but I’ll try to find more. Girls LOVE the fleece blankets. Just do a fun print. We just made one with hot pink on one side and zebra print on the other. My 12-year-old daughter didn’t want to give it away! For boys, we’ve done camouflage or sports team prints.
Thanks tons! I’ll add the blankets to my list for next year’s Christmas. Doing something totally different than I’ve ever done for Christmas next year and am excited…handmade and/or homemade gifts. I work full-time outside the home, have a toddler, and my husband if a fireman so he’s got a crazy schedule. This will be a big undertaking for me but I am ready for the challenge. I found some awesome bracelet kits at Oriental Trading. They are less than $10 and they make 12 bracelets. There is a pattern to follow, and tie knots at the end. Easy Peasy. The bracelets are holiday themed and are perfect for the many teachers, aides , and therapists my son sees.
