Instant Bargains Recipe: Thai Peanut Sauce

March 29, 2011 by Susie Chadwick Leave a Comment

Here’s a super easy recipe for a super delicious Thai Peanut Sauce from scratch.  This recipe is from Kim’s book, Instant Bargains.  Instant Bargains not only provides you with tips and tricks for saving on groceries, but many from scratch recipes as well.

Thai Peanut Sauce Recipe

1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 T. brown sugar
2 T. peanut oil
2-3 minced garlic cloves
1/2 t. red pepper flakes
2 T. vinegar

Mix together over low heat.

I used this sauce for two recipes.  First I used it over chicken and baked it.  We had this with cheesy pasta and carrot sticks.

The next night we had leftover chicken with the sauce, pasta, and some veggies in a cold pasta salad.  Both ways were delicious!

You could also use the Thai Peanut Sauce over a stir-fry.
